The Board suggested that Tom Jensen, County <br />program iSocial Services Director, and Mr. Sletmoe appear before the Board next Wednesday to discuss <br />ithis further. <br /> <br />DES Dir. to obtain Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Gordon Sletmoe be instructed <br />bid for "Exit" : to obtain a bid for installing two "Exit" signs in the Juvenile Detention Center, <br />signs ias recommended by the Fargo Fire Department. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />iunanimously. <br />I <br /> <br />Holiday closing <br />schedule <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County offices be closed <br />)at 12:00all day on Friday, December 26, 1980; and will close at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, <br />'December 3l, 1980. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Rd. Supt. to pre-i Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County Road Superintendent <br />pare specs. for :be authorized to prepare specifications for a lease-purchase or for an outright purchase <br />new vehicle !of a 4-wheel drive vehicle for his use on County business. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Agreements signed; Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman and the Auditor <br />with Eng. firms (be authorized to sign the agreement with the Moore Engineering Company for the <br />for flood repair ; bridge repair on County Road 10 north of West Fargo, and the agreement with the <br />north of W.F. & 'Houston Engineering Company for the bridge repair on County Road 10 between Buffalo <br />betw. Buffalo and Tower City which will both be lOO% reimbursed by the Federal Government under <br />and Tower City flood damage. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Gambling Permit <br />for MS Society <br /> <br />Lawrence Beaton <br />apptd. to W.F. <br />Planning Comm. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Board grant approval of the <br />application for a gambling permit for the Northland Chapter-National Multiple Sclerosis <br />Society to hold games of chance for the period of January 1, 1981 - March 31, 1981, <br />at The Watering Hole in Wild Rice, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. _ <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Mr. Lawrence Beaton be appointed <br />to represent Barnes Township as a rural member on the City of West Fargo Planning <br />land Zoning Commission, to fill the unexpired term of the late Russell Ferch; which term <br />: shall expire July 1, 1983. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Disc. on emer- Mr. Tom Jensen, County Social Services Director, and Mr. Gordon Sletmoe, <br />gency fuel iDisaster Emergency Services Director, appeared before the Board and discussion <br />assistance prgm-~continued on the emergency fuel assistance program. The county social service boards <br />SS Director to ihave been designated by the Federal Government to administer the fuel assistance program, <br />take $500.00 ibut Mr. Jensen stated that there are no funds for emergency fuel assistance on a <br />from General ! 24-hour basis. <br />Assistance fund <br />& DES Director <br />to operate on <br />emergency basis <br />up to a maximum <br />of $500.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Tom Jensen, County Social <br />Services Director, be authorized to set aside $500.00 from the General Assistance fund <br />for emergency fuel allocations. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Gordon Sletmoe be authorized <br />to proceed with the emergency fuel assistance program, and that the money be paid, <br />from the County Social Services budget up to a maximum of $500.00. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. The Board asked Mr. Sletmoe to report back each week <br />on the number of calls and the experiences he has with the program. <br />
