On roll call <br /> <br />Upon the request of Art Lieb, Juvenile Supervisor, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall <br />seconded that Renae Reynolds be authorized to attend a seminar in Minneapolis on <br />December 2nd, at a cost of approximately $250.00. On roll call vote, the motion <br />caLried unanimously. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the City of HarWOOd, Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Hendrickson <br />seconded that Ervin Aarestad be appointed as rural representation on the Harwood Planning <br />and Zoning Commission to replace the late Fred Cory, for an unexpired term ending <br />July l, 1983. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Board receive and file the <br />Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Vern Grommesh, Harmony Township Treasurer, <br />and authorize the County Auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimouSly. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Board receive and file the' <br />Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Lori Emmerich, and authorize the County Auditor <br />to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Treasurer's Annual Report <br />be received and filed. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The County Auditor read letters from Senators Quentin Burdick and Milton Young <br />acknowledging receipt of the Board's letter expressing concern over Federal Revenue <br />Sharing funds. <br /> <br />County Judge Donald Cooke appeared before the Board to discuss the possibility of <br />hiring a probation officer for the Cass County Court. Mr. Hendrickson moved that Judge <br />Cooke be authorized to select three or four candidates for the position of Probation <br />Officer, with the stipulation that the Board meet again on this matter. However, <br />the motion failed for lack of a second. -The matter will be delayed until next Wednesday <br />in order to investigate ways of financing such a position. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. Wold and secoQded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 26, 1980 <br /> <br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were <br />present. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mrs. Wold moved and <br />Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign the resolution <br />awarding the low bid to Aamodt Crane Service in the amount of $26,662.00 for embankment <br />repair and incidentals on County Road 10 north of West Fargo, and the resolution awarding <br />the low bid to William Schultz Construction in the amount of $117,922.30 for flood repair <br />on County Road 10 between Buffalo and Tower City. The Board asked the Road Superintendent out <br />to acquaint himself with the problem, and some of the Commissioners will also view the area. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the following Monthly Reports <br />for October be received and filed; and that the North Cass Water Management Board <br />be requested to submit a breakdown of their expenses and the period of time covered <br />on the October report.
