Mr. Hendrickson felt it is the responsibility of the Buildings and <br />Grounds committee to determine this, but Mrs. Stanton felt that the Commission should <br />discuss the matter with the Sheriff. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Officer's Reports for August <br />be received and filed: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk of Court <br />County Court <br />Register of Deeds <br />Sheriff <br /> <br />$ 2,277.25 <br />$22,337.54 <br />$ 8,370.20 <br />$ 4,909.27 <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the County Auditor be authorized <br />to pay the estimate in the amount of $87,938.10 to J. E. Krieg & Sons, the general <br />contractors on the Courthouse addition. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the County Auditor be authorized <br />to pay the estimate in the amount of $3,288.00 to Clark, Holman and Moorhead, Architects <br />for the Courthouse addition. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the County Commission recommend <br />to the Walburg Township Board of Supervisors that they change their polling place <br />to the Chaffee School for future elections. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson'seconded that the County Commission authorize <br />spending authority in the amount of $100,000.00 for the Nokomis Day Care Center. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Committee reports were given. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. Wold and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 1980 <br /> <br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members <br />were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded tQat the minutes of the previous <br />meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Hendrickson moved <br />and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County agrees to participate to the extent of 20% <br />of the cost of a new bridge west of Harwood on County Road 22, the Federal Government <br />: to pay the remainder under the Federal Aid Programs for 1981-1982; the total estimated <br />i project cost being $500,000.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />I Mr. Grindberg stated that it will cost the County approximately $50,000.00 more <br />I for design and engineering services. <br />I <br />, <br />Delegation from i A delegation was present regarding problems over a section line road southeast <br />Page re: section! of Page. Since this is a township road, the Board suggested that Mr. Suhr contact <br />line road ! the States Attorney for the legalities in the matter. <br />; <br /> <br />Delegation from <br />Harwood request-! <br />ing gravel on I <br />C31 <br /> <br />Corres. from , <br />Fargo City Eng. ! <br />re: 12th Ave. No! <br />paving , <br /> <br />Barnes Twp. <br />ing place to <br />remain at West <br />Acres <br /> <br />A delegation from Harwood appeared before the Board regarding the amount of traffic <br />on the township road due to the road work on County Road 31, and they requested <br />that the contractor or the County put some gravel on the township road. The County Road <br />Superintendent stated that they will put on some gravel when the road crew gets in that area. <br />I Mr. Grindberg and Mr. Hendrickson will talk to the contractor on County Road 31 to see if <br />I they would be willing to put some gravel on it so that traffic could travel on the road <br />I even though the construction is not completed. <br />, <br /> <br />Correspondence was received from the Fargo City Engineer requesting the County's <br />participation on 12th Avenue North paving, and Mr. Grindberg stated that he will contact <br />the Fargo Engineer's Office because he could not see where the County would have any money <br />for this. <br /> <br />vot-I The Board continued discussion on the voting place for Barnes Township Precinct *l. <br />! The County Auditor contacted the Fargo City Auditor, and he felt it should be left at <br />i West Acres.
