On roll call <br />[vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />1 Upon the request of Attorney Duane Breitling, Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded <br />i that the Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign the resolution and the three <br />f Quit Claim Deeds for transferring 1.296 acres of Drain #3 right of way back to the <br />I original owner, the Acme Investment Company of Fargo. On roll call vote, the motion <br />I carried unanimously. The resolution is on file in the County Auditor's Office. <br />I <br />i Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the gambling permit for the <br />I National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Northland Chapter be renewed for a period of 90 days <br />I beginning May 28, 1980. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />i <br />Co. adopts POliCY!1 Walt Ness, County Extension Agent, appeared before the Board regarding grasshopper <br />req. twps. to , control in the County which is posing a problem to the farmers in addition to the <br />spray Co. road II current drought situation. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County <br />ditches for . adopt a policy requesting the townships to spray the County road ditches and bill the <br />grasshoppers & I County for the portion of spraying done along County roads in their township. <br />bill the County i On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Ness suggested that a letter <br />for that portion ibe written to the township officers through Irv Dietrich, County Weed Control Officer, <br />i telling them the County's policy and urging them to spray for grasshoppers by the 1st week <br />I in June. He stated that there may be some funds in the Weed Spraying budget to help <br />i the County with the grasshopper program. However, the bids were received by the County Sheriff <br />: rather than the County Auditor, as stated in the bid advertisement, and the bids were <br />i opened by the Sheriff so could not be considered as sealed bids. Upon the recommendation <br />lof the States Attorney, Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the County Board <br />i reject all bids, and that the Sheriff return them to the bidders with a letter of <br />'explanation. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the County Auditor be authorized <br />to readvertise for bids for 3 cars for the Sheriff's Department. County Road Superintendent to take to the meeting of the Southeast Cass Water Management <br />req. moratorium I District tomorrow morning which he will be attending due to the drainage problem in the <br />on drainage proj. City of Frontier. <br /> <br />Correspondence was read and committee reports given.
