Discussion was held on purchasing a new riding lawn mower with a snowblower attachment for the Courthouse grounds. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Alton Johnson, Buildings and Grounds Superintendent, be authorized to purchase the equipment he has requested. However, the motion and second were withdrawn in order to obtain quetations from other companies having the same type of equipment. Committee Reports were given. Hoehn - Auditor Cass County, North Dakota Jeannette Stanton, Chairman Cass County Board of Commissioners REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS -APRIL 1, 1980 Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. An Invocation was given by the Chairman. Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Sheriff Don Rudnick appeared before the Board regarding the request last week from the deputies for an increase in mileage to 409 per mile. He stated that the mileage payments would increase $100.00 per month for every cent that the mileage is increased over 309. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the request of the Sheriff's deputies to increase the mileage to 409 per mile be denied. On roll call vote, the motion carried with Mr. Sondrall and Mrs. Stanton opposing. Sheriff Rudnick stated that if the County were to purchase additional County cars, he would consider getting smaller, economy cars for the investigations department. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Sheriff proceed with the call for 3 automobiles for the investigations department. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Shff. for bids ~o adv. for bids for new cars In further discussion, Sheriff Rudnick stated that if a deputy drives less than 2,000 miles per month, he cannot break even meeting expenses and paying for his car. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the mileage for the Sheriff's Department be increased by 59 per mile on any mileage under 2,000 miles per month. On roll call vote, the motion carried with Mr. Hendrickson and Mr. Satrom opposing. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Application for a Beer and Liquor License for the Bison Steakhouse & Lounge, Inc. in Tower Township be granted. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Release of Trust Mortgage from the State Social Service Board on Lot 18, Block 7 in Perley, Minnesota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. I Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Release of Trust Mortgage from the State Social Service Board on Lot 9, Block 18, Egbert, O'Neil & Haggarts Addition to the City of Fargo.
