Upon the request of Glenn Ellingsberg from the Sheriff's Department, Mrs. Stanton moved iand Mrs. Wold seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Grant Award and Acceptance ' from the North Dakota Law Enforcement Council for a Video Recorder and Monitor for the County iJail at a cost to the County of $620.00. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all i members voting "Aye". i Also upon the request of Mr. Ellingsberg, Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that ; the Chairman be authorized to sign the grant application to the North Dakota Law Enforcement [Council for the investigator for the States Attorney to attend an Advanced Prosecutors School ! for one week at no cost to the County. Mr. Ellingsberg also reported to the Board that the grant application which was submit- ted to the North Dakota Law Enforcement Council for replacing the locks in the jail was rejected at this time. Upon the recommendation of Attorney Duane Brietling, representing the Cass County Drain Board, Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton; seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the instrument correcting the drain right of way 37~ feet either side of the center line in the W~ of Section 14, Reed Township. Mrs. Wold stated that she had been notified by the Bar Association that a motion was made at their October 18th meeting to set ~p a committee, upon the request of the County, ~o assist the Board in evaluating the appllcants for County Judge. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the motion of the B~r Association be accepted. The motion carried on a roll call vote with Mr. Satrom opposlng. Upon discussion, 8:00 A.M., Monday, October 29, 1979, was set for interviews for the County Judge position. The Board received copies of the State audit of Cass County's records and discussion was: held with the Deputy State Auditor from Bismarck. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson secondJ ed to receive and file the state audit. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". Upon motion by Mrs. Wold and second by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was recessed until until Oct. 29 atj8:00 o'clock A.M., Monday, October 29th, for the purpose of interviewing and attempting to 8:00 A.M. ,make a decision on the position of County Judge.
