Upon discuss- lon, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrlckson seconded that the deadline for receiving applica- tion~ for County Judge be set at 9:00 o'clock A.M., Wednesday, October 24,1979. Upon the recommendation of the Director of Tax Equalization, Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Abate. for Hugh Stanton seconded that Appl~cation for Aba~ement a~d Settlement of Taxes for Hugh and Florence & Florence Massee Ma~see be approved as submltted. Mr. Arthur Lieb, Juvenile Supervisor, appeared before the Board to request permission fopJuv. Supv. granted out of state travel. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Mr. Lieb be authorizedout of state to attend a Study of Courts in the First District of Iowa on October 23 through October 26, 'travel. 1979, at no cost to the County. Mr. Gordon Sletmoe" Disaster Emergency Director, reported to the Board that there will be a seminar held on the Handling of Hazardous Materials on October 23 through October 25 from 9:00 o'clock A.M. to 5:00 o'clock P.M. at the Emergency Operations Center. I 'DES Director-- Iseminar on Handl- iing of Haz. Mater. I At this time Mr. Hendrickson reported on several meetings that he had attended the past week. Upon motion by Mrs. Stanton and second by Mrs. Wold, the meeting was adjourned. ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 24, 1979 Chairman Satrom called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Upon the recommendation of Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, Mrs. Wold moved Cass County Elec.- and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the utility permit with utility permit Cass County Electric to bury cable under County Road 31 in Section 12 of Reed Township.
