PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA 5881 The Auditor reported that an announcement would be made at the October 18th meeting of the Bar Association that the Board is accepting applications for County Judge. Upon discuss~ ion, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the deadline for receiving applica- tions for County Judge be set at 9:00 o'clock A.M., Wednesday, October 24,1979. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". Judge--apps be accepted 10- 24-79, deadline to be 9:00 A.M. Upon the recommendation of the Director of Tax Equalization, Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Abate. for Hugh Stanton seconded that Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes for Hugh and Florence & Florence Massee Massee be approved as submitted. The motion carried on a roll call vote with~l members granted. ivoting "Aye". Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Mr. Lieb be authorizedout of state to attend a Study of Courts in the First District of Iowa on October 23 through October 26, 'travel. 1979, at no cost to the County. Mr. Gordon Sletmoe" Disaster Emergency Director, reported to the Board that there will be a seminar held on the Handling of Hazardous Materials on October 23 through October 25 from 9:00 o'clock A.M. to 5:00 o'clock P.M. at the Emergency Operations Center. At this time Mr. Hendrickson reported on several meetings that he had attende,d the past 'week. Upon motion by Mrs. Stanton and second by Mrs. Wold, the meeting was adjourned. Upon the recommendation of Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, Mrs. Wold moved Cass County Elec.- and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the utility permit with utility permit Cass County Electric to bury cable under County ROad 31 in Section 12 of Reed Township. Also upon the recommendation of Mr. Grindberg, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson Houston Eng.-- seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the contract with Houston Engineering, Inc. contract signed to for an Hydralic Engineering Study of three flood projects, which will be 100% reimbursed by do Hydralic St~dy Federal Flood Disaster.
