<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA <br /> <br />5875 <br /> <br />The Auditor read a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Duane Moderow concerning the condition of <br />County Road 32 west of Absaraka. Mr. Grindberg state that this will be graveled when the <br />crews move into the area. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of Attorney Duane Breitling, representing the Cass County Drain <br />iBoard, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the documents for transferring Drain 10 right of way to the State Highway Department for <br />road construction project at 19th Avenue North. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". lRural Housing Co. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton was now present and at the time the Committee Reports were given, she Icommitte Report. <br />reported that she was attending a meeting of the City of Fargo Planning Commission this <br />morning concerning the Fred Hector property in Stanley Township. <br /> <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick again appeared before the Board regarding his request for a fence <br />in the back yard at the Sheriff's Residence. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded <br />that Sheriff Rudnick be allowed to construct a fence on the Sheriff's Residence property, at <br />his own expense. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall reported that Mr. Don Myrold has resigned as Executive Secretary of Red <br />River Land due to his health, and Janet Spaulding was present to answer any questions from <br />the Board. She reported that she received a letter from Rural America, which the Board <br />suggested that she refer to the people who are involved in flood prevention along the Red <br />,River Valley. The Board requested to be placed on a mailing list to receive future informa- <br />tion and meeting notices from Red River Land. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Vouchers No. 401 through No. 9~3 and <br />Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. 182, 183 and 184 be approved and ordered paid. The motion <br />carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board receive and file the notices <br />from the Fargo Forestry Department concerning dead trees on the Courthouse property and on <br />the County's property at 57-11th Avenue North; and that Mr. Sondrall and Mr. Hendrickson <br />contact the Forestry Department concerning removal and trimming of the trees. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, Mrs. Stanton <br />moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the utility permit with <br />Cass County Electric to bury a cable under County Road 17 south of West Fargo. The motion <br />carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Cargill, Inc. be authorized to install a <br />sanitary sewer and water main under County Road 17. The motion carried on a roll call vote <br />with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the agreement for preliminary engineering services with the Moore Engineering Company for a <br />bridge one mile north of West Fargo on County Road 10 over Drain 21, which will be paid by <br />Federal flood money. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Hendrickson moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County purchase the used Peterbilt truck tractor from Midwest <br />Mack, Inc. for the Road Department. Mr. Grindberg stated that the Federal flood inspec-Twp to be maint- <br />tor included this bridge on Cass County's report while they were in the area inspecting for ,ained by Barnes <br />flood damage, but it has been Barnes County's responsibility in the past. Mr. Hendrickson County. <br />moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the County Auditor notify Barnes County that they should <br />continue to maintain this bridge.
