<br />Commission Minutes--June 20,2005 2913 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JUNE 20, 2005 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Darrell Vanyo called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present <br />as follows: Scott Wagner, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. Vern Bennett was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Scott Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the minutes of <br />the last regular meeting held June 6, 2005, and minutes of the special <br />meeting held June 16, 2005, as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions: 1) mosquito control agreements for <br />2005; 2) Sheriff's Department request for increase in civil process fees. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Approved for Christopher & Jacqueline Gibbons <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded that the valuation of <br />Abatement No. 4272 for Christopher and Jacqueline Gibbons be reduced <br />to $24,000, as recommended by the Director of Equalization. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Receive monthlv financial statement <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to receive a monthly <br />financial statement from the auditor's office for the month ending on <br />May 31, 2005. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. NORTH DAKOTA INSURANCE RESERVE FUND, Request for attorney fees <br />information <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to make a request to the <br />North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund to provide attorney fee <br />information to Cass County at the conclusion of litigation involving John <br />Strand v. Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
