Commission Minutes--June 20,2005 2913 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JUNE 20, 2005 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Darrell Vanyo called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. Vern Bennett was absent. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Scott Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting held June 6, 2005, and minutes of the special meeting held June 16, 2005, as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions: 1) mosquito control agreements for 2005; 2) Sheriff's Department request for increase in civil process fees. Motion carried. 5. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Approved for Christopher & Jacqueline Gibbons MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded that the valuation of Abatement No. 4272 for Christopher and Jacqueline Gibbons be reduced to $24,000, as recommended by the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Receive monthlv financial statement MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to receive a monthly financial statement from the auditor's office for the month ending on May 31, 2005. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. NORTH DAKOTA INSURANCE RESERVE FUND, Request for attorney fees information MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to make a request to the North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund to provide attorney fee information to Cass County at the conclusion of litigation involving John Strand v. Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
