NORTH DAKOTA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES JPA, Wireless 911 <br />Gienn Ellingsberg, Sheriffs Department, presented a joint powers agreement (JPA) <br />resolution of acknowledgement with the North Dakota Association of Counties for wireless <br />911 implementation. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chairman <br />to sign the Joint Powers Agreement for Purchasing with the North Dakota <br />Association of Counties for wireless 911 implementation. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />26. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />164,631 through No. 166,095. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />27. <br /> <br />CASS AND CLAY COMMISSIONERS JOINT MEETING; EMPLOYEE SECURITY ID <br />BADGE; STATE'S ATTORNEY UPDATE; BUDGET REQUESTS, Committee reports <br />Mr. Wieland reminded commissioners of the upcoming informal joint meeting with Clay <br />County Commissioners to be held at 11 :30 AM on August 5, 2002, at Season's at Rose <br />Creek, Fargo. <br /> <br />,.... <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the commission that ail county employees wear the new picture <br />identification badges being impiemented by the Sheriffs Department at all times while at work <br />and on county property. The intent of the new employee ID system is to make the county <br />buildings as safe and secure as possible, and for the public to be able to recognize county <br />employees when they need assistance in a county building. The badge needs to be <br />displayed for employee entrance through the security station. <br /> <br />Birch Burdick, State's Attorney, said most of his attorney staff will be attending the National <br />District Attorney's Association Conference, which is being held in Bismarck in mid-July. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir asked the board members to be thinking about dates for upcoming budget <br />meetings for fiscal year 2003, starting about August 12, 2002. <br /> <br />28.
