Commission Minutes--July 1, 2002 2465 r- 25. NORTH DAKOTA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES JPA, Wireless 911 Gienn Ellingsberg, Sheriffs Department, presented a joint powers agreement (JPA) resolution of acknowledgement with the North Dakota Association of Counties for wireless 911 implementation. MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chairman to sign the Joint Powers Agreement for Purchasing with the North Dakota Association of Counties for wireless 911 implementation. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 26. VOUCHERS, Approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve Voucher No. 164,631 through No. 166,095. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 27. CASS AND CLAY COMMISSIONERS JOINT MEETING; EMPLOYEE SECURITY ID BADGE; STATE'S ATTORNEY UPDATE; BUDGET REQUESTS, Committee reports Mr. Wieland reminded commissioners of the upcoming informal joint meeting with Clay County Commissioners to be held at 11 :30 AM on August 5, 2002, at Season's at Rose Creek, Fargo. ,.... It was the consensus of the commission that ail county employees wear the new picture identification badges being impiemented by the Sheriffs Department at all times while at work and on county property. The intent of the new employee ID system is to make the county buildings as safe and secure as possible, and for the public to be able to recognize county employees when they need assistance in a county building. The badge needs to be displayed for employee entrance through the security station. Birch Burdick, State's Attorney, said most of his attorney staff will be attending the National District Attorney's Association Conference, which is being held in Bismarck in mid-July. Mr. Montplaisir asked the board members to be thinking about dates for upcoming budget meetings for fiscal year 2003, starting about August 12, 2002. 28. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. ,.... Fargo Service Center located at 1537 First Avenue South to operate hazardous waste management units; North Dakota Department of Heaith notice of permit approval for the treatment of infectious waste at Health Care Incinerators, Inc. located at 1420 40th Street NW In Fargo; Notice to Lyle Schock, 905 Martin Drive in West Fargo. and to Bob Schmidt, 6378 Highway 46, Kindred. to clean up an apparent waste disposal site located on their respective properties;
