<br />- <br /> <br />Commission Minutes-May 6, 2002 2442 <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson reported on numerous items concerning the new jail, including Interactive <br />Television (ITV). Chairman Wieland sent a letter last week, with a copy for each commissioner, <br />to the North Dakota Supreme Court Justices encouraging them to approve an Interactive <br />Television Pilot Project Administrative Order for use in the East Central Judicial District. <br /> <br />A third buildings and grounds employee will be hired during the month of July, and uniform shirts <br />are being ordered for the maintenance employees, according to Mrs. Johnson. The primary <br />reason for the uniforms is to identify the maintenance workers more readily, and particularly <br />because everyone working in the new jail should be in uniform. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir showed commissioners how the new Geographic Information System (GIS) looks <br />on the county website. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said the North Dakota Association of Counties new office building in Bismarck was <br />dedicated last Thursday, and he attended the event. <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />_ four letters from the North Dakota Department of Transportation concerning bridge <br />inspections, load limit posting, and bridges with the State's Alert Code 3; <br />_ refund of $60.00 from the administrative fund of the Devils Lake-Sheyenne River-Red River <br />Advisory Committee by its Secretary-Treasurer, Merle L. Huhner.
