PART IH ~ REQUIRED USES <br /> <br />The JJDP Act requires that no less than 75% of the funds available be expended for the Required Uses (A <br />through O below). Estimate the portion of the grant funds requested that would be expended for each of the <br />uses that apply to your project. Projects to deter illegal activity and promote lawful activity on the part of gangs: $ <br />J. Treatment programs for dependence on or abuse of alcohol or other addictive or non-addictive $ <br />drags: <br />K. Law-related education programs for delinquent and at-risk youth designed to prevent juvenile $ <br />delinquency: <br />L. Programs for positive youth development that assist delinquent and other at-risk youth: $ <br />M. Programs that encourage courts to develop and implement a continuum of post-adjudication <br />restraints; and assist in the provision of information and technical assistance to States in the design $ <br />and utilization of risk assessment mechanisms to aid in determining appropriate sanctions for <br />delinquent behavior: <br />N. Programs designed to prevent and reduce hate crimes: $ <br />O. Programs to assist families with limited English speaking ability, that include delinquent <br />juveniles, to overcome language and cultural barriers that may prevent the complete U'eatment of $ <br />such juveniles, and to preserve their families: <br />P.
