ND Family Based Service Award for 2002 <br /> <br /> RECEIVED <br /> <br /> APR 2 6 2002 <br /> <br />CASS COUNTY COMMISSION <br /> <br />We are pleased to announce the 2002 distinguished program award for outstanding <br />contributions in serving North Dakota's children and families was presented to the Cass <br />County Social Service Parent Aide Program by the North Dakota Family Based Service <br />Association. One award is give to an agency in April of each year. <br /> <br />The Parent Aide Service was started in 1983 and formally became a program in 1986 <br />and has served the people of Cass County continuously. The parent aide program still <br />has the original staff that started this service over 20 years ago. With no stafftumover, <br />the staff has combined service experience totaling 78 years. This staffhas been willing <br />to share their parent aide skills and knowledge and help other counties set up their <br />programs in North Dakota. They have been a valuable part of the helping team and have <br />earned the respect of both the clients and the professional community. <br /> <br />Sandy Gardner, Phyllis Schreiner, Ginny Leon, and Dawn Sparks have demonstrated the <br />parent aide mission and commitment to improve the quality of family life for the <br />children in Cass County. <br /> <br />R.
