The essence of the agreement is as listed below: 1) West Fargo will assume ownership of the Cass 17 from 1-94 to 52nd Avenue starting on June 30, 2005. 2) Cass County would pay West Fargo $500,000 to be used toward a future improvement proj ect on the highway. 3) Cass County will request federal bridge funding to replace the Sheyenne River Bridge at 32nd Avenue. Cass County will pay 50% of the local project costs up to $100,000. 4) Cass County will fund 2006/2007 intersection improvements at the 52nd Avenue intersection and retain ownership of the intersection unless and until additional annexation occurs. (note: - the necessary near term improvements at this intersection could exceed $500,000 due to the need to acquire property and buildings) SUGESTED MOTION: Approve memorandum of understanding with the City of West Fargo regarding Cass County Highway 17 and authorize the Chairman to sign.
