<br />Commission Minutes--February 19, 2002 2414 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 19, 2002 <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum, Alon Wieland and John Meyer. Donna Schneider was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order aDDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda as printed. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for Hiahwav DeDartment eauiDment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign a purchase order for two tandem truck dump boxes, <br />hoists and associated hydraulics for the Cass County Highway <br />Department from Bert's Truck Equipment in the amount of $63, 712.00, <br />according to a memo from Keith Berndt, County Engineer, dated <br />February 13, 2002. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for a DickuD <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign a purchase order for a 2002 Ford pickup for the <br />Sheriff's Department. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, ADD roved for Sandhills Archers. Inc. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a raffle <br />permit for the Sandhills Archers, Inc. on the date of February 23,2002, <br />at the Sandhills Archers indoor archery range located near West <br />Fargo, North Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. CONTRACT APPROVAL, City of West Farao <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the <br />following contract submitted by the respective department head, <br />subject to state's attorney approval and authorize the chairman to <br />sign: City of West Fargo for an underground easement for a sewer <br />line across part ofthe Highway Department grounds to an existing lift <br />station. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
