Commission Minutes--March 4, 2002 2419 As a point of information, State's Attorney Birch Burdick said the law has changed in recent years whereby those residents who wish to pre-vote can obtain a ballot from the County Auditor's Office before the election. Mr. Montplaisirwas in agreement, mentioning various ways that a voter can obtain an absentee ballot for whatever reason they have for voting prior to election day. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to authorize the Vice Chairman to sign the standard election agreement with the City of Grandin. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 10. VOUCHERS, ADDroved MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve Voucher No. 161,381 through No. 161,744. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 11. MEETING UPDATES, Committee reDorts Mrs. Schneider said she had a couple of meetings in the past two weeks which are ongoing. Mr. Montplaisir reminded Commissioners of the East Central Commissioners Association meeting in Valley City on March 14,2002. Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said the jail staff is receiving training three days this week on the direct supervision of inmates. She also reported on a Wednesday technology presentation to department heads by the North Dakota Association of Counties and a Thursday meeting concerning courtroom technology. 12. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. invitation to East Central Commissioners Association meeting at 10:00 AM on March 14, 2002, at the Valley CityV.F.W. Club in conjunction with the North Dakota Winter Show. 13. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mr. Meyer, seconded by Mrs. Schneider and all in favor, the meeting was adjourned about 4:15 PM.
