The change in the Intergovernmental <br />Service Agreement (ISA) is to acknowledge the Federal Government's <br />investment in our new jail facility and to outline the length of our <br />commitment in accepting those funds. Article V addresses these <br />issues. In reviewing the contract I also asked for a change in <br />paragraph 2 under Article VI to yearly updates and that change <br />resulted in the Modification you find attached to the ISA. <br /> I have also asked for and received a form USM-243 which is a cost <br /> sheet analysis for rates charged to the Federal Government. I will <br /> forward this to the transition team to complete. This process <br /> determines the maximum rate which can be charged on a daily basis <br /> for housing federal detainees. The current ISA is outdated in costs <br /> that should be collected and does need to be updated.
