COUNTY DEED <br /> <br />This indenture made this 7th day of January, 2002, between the County cf Cass, North <br />Dakota, party of the first part, and City of Casselton, PO Box 548, Casselton ND 58012, <br />party of the second part, witnesseth: ~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the real property hereinafter described was acquired by the county through <br />tax deed proceedings for the nonpayment of taxes levied and extended against said <br />property for the years 1996 to 2000 inclusive, with interest and penalties, amounting to <br />the sum of Thirty-four and 45/100 ($34.45) dollars; WHEREAS, said real property was <br />offered for sale, and sold, pursuant to authority to law, on the 7th day of January, 2002, <br />and at said sale, said second party became the purchaser of the whole thereof, for the <br />sum of One and no/100 ($1.00) dollars, which has been paid in full; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the said county as party of the first part, in consideration of the <br />premises, and pursuant to authority of law, hereby assigns, that certain real property <br />situated in Cass County, North Dakota, described as follows, to wit: <br /> <br />commencing at the intersection of the south line of Second Street, College Place Addition <br />to the City of Casselton, with the east line of the right of way of the main Iine of the Great <br />Northern RaiIway thence running north along said line of right of way to the south line of <br />the right of way of the Northern Pacific Railway, thence easterly along the said line of said <br />right of way to a point forty (40) feet west of the northwest corner of Lot 8 BIock 3, College <br />Place Addition, thence south to the intersection with the south line of Second Street, <br />thence west to a place of beginning, containing two and fifteen hundredths (2.15) acres, <br />more or less. <br /> <br />Tax Parcel: 03-1600-00666-000 <br /> <br />To have and to hold the above described real property with all of the appurtenances <br />thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part, City of Casselton, heirs and <br />assigns forever. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF Alon Wieiand and Michaet Montplaisir, as chairman of the <br />board of county commissioners and county auditor, respectively, of said county, hereby <br />do set their hands the day and year first above written and do cause the seal of said <br />county to be affixed thereto. <br /> Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br />Chairman <br />Cass County Commission <br /> <br />Cass County Auditor <br /> <br /> <br />
