Buringrud, Gardner <br /> <br />Personnel Overview Committee <br /> (Employee representatives) <br />Dean Krabbenhoff <br />David Carlson <br />Carrie Smith <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Quanbeck Planninq and Research MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the <br /> following contract submitted by respective department head, subject <br /> to state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: <br /> renewal of county planning agreement with Quanbeck Planning and <br /> Research. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />INFORMATION SERVICES, Purchase of on-line qovernment document delivery system <br />County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson and Auditor Michael Montplaisir explained a product from <br />GovDocs.com, which improves public access to documents and information through Cass <br />County's website. Mrs. Johnson said a few other county department heads and staff, including <br />the Information Services Director, had an opportunity to view a product demonstration and were <br />impressed with its capabilities also. Keith Berndt, County Engineer, was present today and said <br />he also viewed the system and believes it will be a valuable tool in keeping the public informed <br />on road projects in his department. <br />The cost of the automatic delivery of government documents would be $7,000 for a set-up fee <br />and a $1,260 per month subscription fee. It is anticipated the service would become available <br />in February. GovDocs also provides a website development and upgrading service, which will <br /> be reviewed in January. There would be an additional fee for upgrading the county website. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the <br /> purchase of the online government document delivery system, <br /> effective December 17, 2001, with funds to be appropriated from the <br /> 2001 Information Services budget. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Contract with Farqo Cass Public Health <br />Birch Burdick, States Attorney, requested board approval of a contract provided to him by Cass <br />County Social Services for renewal of in-home services to eligible recipients by Fargo Cass <br />Public Health. Since this item was not received in the Commission Office for placement on <br />today's agenda, Mr. Burdick called the Social Services Director and learned this contract was <br />approved by the Social Services Board at their last meeting. <br />Mr. Meyer asked if the compensation is the same as this year, and Mr. Burdick said he <br />understands it is the same contract with a beginning date of January 1,2002. <br /> <br /> <br />
