<br />Commission Minutes--October 15, 2001 2369 <br /> <br />12. TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, ADDraisal/hearina date set <br />_ County Auditor Mike Montplaisir provided a list of real estate forfeited to Cass County for <br />delinquent taxes, pursuant to North Dakota Century Code Chapter 57-28. Alternative values on <br />the properties were provided by Frank Klein, County Director of Tax Equalization, according to <br />a letter from the County Auditor dated October 10, 2001. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to set the minimum <br />sales price of the forfeited parcels, according to a list provided by the <br />County Auditor, after adjusting for information provided by the <br />Director of Equalization; and to set the hearing date on the value of <br />property as 3:30 PM on November 5, 2001. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />13. VOUCHERS, ADDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />157,145 through No. 157,656. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS MEETING WITH CASS COUNTY'S CITY OFFICIALS; NORTH DAKOTA <br />ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES UPDATE; EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COMMUNITY <br />MEETING, Committee reDorts <br />Mr. Montplaisiroutlined some ofthetopics fordiscussion when the County Commissioners meet <br />with Cass County's city officials on October 23,2001, at 7:00 PM, in the Casselton Community <br />Center. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson informed Commissioners she talked to Mike Abel, Manager of Automation <br />Services forthe North Dakota Association of Counties, atthe convention held in Fargo last week <br />regarding the use of planning funds currently available through the social service budget and <br />their agency. She told him Cass County would be interested in a technology assessment and <br />a software licensing audit program. The Commissioners agreed to move forward with the <br />assessment. Mr. Wieland noted that he was grateful for the time allowed in order for him to <br />serve this past year as president of the North Dakota Association of Counties. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said she received a telephone call from the City of Fargo concerning a community <br />meeting on emergency preparedness to be held Monday, October 22, 2001, at 7:00 PM in the <br />Fargo Civic Auditorium. The presentation will cover topics such as bioterrorism, and how our <br />local communities are preparing for these types of disasters. Everyone is welcome to attend. <br />Mr. Meyer suggested that Commissioners begin thinking about the possibility of combining our <br />emergency services with the City of Fargo. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />response from Senator Kent Conrad to Cass County's letter in support of the City of <br />Fargo's application for full-time Port of Entry status at Hector International Airport; <br />
