<br />SUBJECT: AMENDED ORDINANCE #1997-3 (COUNTY PARK CAMPSITES) <br />PAGE 2 OF 3 <br /> <br />38.05 <br /> <br />Any campsite or camping equipment which is left unoccupied or unattended for more <br />than twenty-four (24) consecutive hours, without written authorization from a <br />representative of the Cass County Park Board, will be deemed to be abandoned and <br />subject to towing and impound by the county at the expense of the owner or user. <br /> <br />2. For purposes of this ordinance, camping equipment shall include, but not be limited to, <br />vehicles, recreational vehicles, campers, boats, trailers, or any other thing which is <br />generally recognized as recreational camping equipment. <br /> <br />3. The following service fees apply for the use of electricity and water at the campsites: <br />$5 per day or $100 per month for electrical sites; $10 per day or $150 per month for <br />water, sewer and electrical sites, both limited to one 30-day reservation at a time. <br /> <br />4. Group activities attended by more than twenty-five individuals are prohibited without a <br />permit issued by the Cass County Auditor's Office. A $25 fee will be charged for the <br />application of such permit. <br /> <br />5. Fireworks, model rocket enQines, or combustible or explosive material prohibited. <br /> <br />a. No person may possess, discharge or set off within any area of Brewer Lake Park <br />any form of fireworks, model rocket engine, or combustible or explosive. <br />b. The term "fireworks" means any combustible or explosive composition, or any <br />substance or combination of substance or article prepared for the purpose of <br />producinQ a visible or an audible effect by combustion, explosion, deflagration, or <br />detonation. <br />c. "Model rocket engine" means a commercially manufactured, non-reusable rocket <br />propulsion device constructed of a non-metallic casing and solid propellant wherein <br />all of the ingredients are self-contained so as not to require mixing or handling by <br />the user. <br />d. "Combustible or explosive material" does not include matches, butane, kerosene, <br />propane or similar fuels and devices used in the ordinary course of camping. <br /> <br />6. No burning will be allowed except in designated fireplaces. <br /> <br />7. Use of firearms within the park is prohibited. <br /> <br />8. Cutting, damaQing, or destroyinQ any trees within park area is prohibited. <br /> <br />9. DOQS must be leashed within the park area. <br /> <br />10. Brewer Lake Park will have a curfew of 11 :30 PM. After 11 :30 PM. no unnecessary <br />noise or unnecessary drivinQ or consumption of alcohol will be permitted. <br />
