Montplaisir said he and M r. Bailey will follow the steps needed to carry out the written order,
according to a description of the process he outlined from the Century Code.

Mr. Kuhn asked about the number of people to serve on the board of directors of the newly
formed fire protection district, and there was a concern by the Mayor of Kindred about not
having a representative on the board. Through the contract for services, the City of Kindred
would be the largest contributor to the fire department, however, they are not included in the
taxing district. A suggestion was made that the city's contract with the fire district could stipulate
specific requirements for service, or Mr. Burdick said there is a process that could be followed
under territory to be annexed, in the N.D.C.C. 18-10-11.

Chairman Meyer asked for any additional comments from the audience or from either board
and hearing none, asked for a motion to adjourn.

ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed
On motion by Alon Wieland, seconded by Scott Wagner and all in
favor, the hearing was adjourned at 9:40 PM.

Minutes prepared by Joyce Schepp, Administrative Secretary for Cass County
