Commission Minutes--August 20, 2001 2339 .~ DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUGUST 20, 2001 ~ .-.. 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting held August 6, 2001, and minutes of the budget meetings held August 13,14,15 and 16, 2001. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order aooroved MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) add contract with Houston Engineering on the consent agenda under contract approval; and 2) withdraw item #6, art selection committee for jail lobby, due to the limited number of responses received. Motion carried. 4. WEED CUTTING NOTICE, Authorize oublication MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize publication of the notice for weed cutting according to North Dakota Century Code 63-05.02. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 5. NORTH DAKOTA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES, Aoooint Charlotte Sandvik as deleaate MOT/ON, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to appoint Charlotte Sandvik as Cass County's delegate to the North Dakota Association of Counties Convention to be held October 7-9, 2001, at the Doublewood Inn, Fargo, North Dakota, and to pay her registration from the Commission budget. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. OMITTED ASSESSMENTS, Aooroved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to add a 10.21 acre tract in NE 1/4, 14-139-53, Gill Township, as omitted property for 2001 in the amount of $32,500, residential structure assessment for six months, according to notice sent from the county auditor to Marlen & Andrea Haugen, Wheatland, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
