<br />12. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--July 9. 2001 2306 <br /> <br />LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed for Daren Kautzman <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file <br />the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Daren Kautzman and <br />authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue a <br />duplicate check. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />13. SOCIAL SERVICES, Half-time attornev oosition increasina to full-time <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Cass <br />County Social Service budget be adjusted to move the half-time <br />attorney position to full-time, effective August 15, 2001. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />14. INFORMATION SERVICES, Sale of surolus comouter eauioment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to allow the <br />Information Services Department to dispose of surplus computer <br />equipment according to the Commission Policy Manual Section 14.81, <br />Sale of Used Computer Equipment. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />,--15. CONTRACT APPROVAL, A.S.P. Of Moorhead. Inc.: Reaion V Children's Services <br />Coordinatina Committee: North Dakota Deoartment of Human Services: VOCA Grant <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br />following contract submitted by respective department head, subject <br />to state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A.S.P. of Moorhead, Inc.--security at the new jail site, 450 34th Street SW, Fargo; <br />Region V Children's Services Coordinating Committee--recruitmenUretention of foster <br />parents; <br />North Dakota Department of Human Services--addendum to utilize grant funds to sub- <br />contract with qualified respite care providers; <br />Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant--Victim Witness Advocate grant funds. <br /> <br />16. JAIL PROJECT, Transition Team uodate <br />Jail Administrator Walt Willis updated commissioners on the jail transition. He reviewed the <br />transition action plan and discussed the inmate identification system, transition newsletter, job <br />positions, and staffing plans. He said the team has been working on scenario developments, <br />job descriptions and a policy manual. He said progress made is on target with the action plan. <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Hazardous material contract uodate <br />Captain Glenn Ellingsberg distributed a draft copy of the HazMat contract prepared by States <br />Attorney Birch Burdick. Mr. Ellingsberg will schedule the item for approval at the next <br />Commission meeting. He said this will provide the City of Fargo time to review the contract. <br />
