Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Klein said an inquiry was received from Harry Davis for inundated classification on his land <br />located in Rich Township. However, the landowner and renter each received payments that, <br />when added together, exceeded the statutory maximum amount of revenue. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to take no action on <br />the inquiry of Harry Davis for inundated land classification. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. TAX EQUALIZATION BOARD, Adiourned for 2001 <br />Mr. Klein was not aware of any further business to be conducted at this time. Mr. Meyer asked <br />if there were any other tax appeals from anyone in the audience. Hearing none, he invited a <br />motion to adjourn. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to adjourn the County <br />Board of Tax Equalization for 2001. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS #2001-15, 16, 17, 18, Street ImDrovement District#2001-1. Holmen's Third <br />Subdivision <br />Attorney Daniel Twichell was present and provided a series of resolutions for the board's <br />consideration concerning Street Improvement District No. 2001-1, Holmen's Third Subdivision. <br />No protests were filed within the time and manner prescribed by law. <br /> <br />.~ <br /> <br />Bids were opened May 31,2001, at the Cass County Courthouse, and three bids were received. <br />Aggregate Industries submitted the low bid in the amount of $47,740.00. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the <br />chairman and the county auditor to sign the following resolutions <br />relating to Street Improvement District No. 2001-1 (Holmen's Third <br />Subdivision): Resolution #2001-15 Determining That Not Sufficient <br />Protests Were Filed on Improvement in Street Improvement District <br />No. 2001-1; Resolution #2001-16 Regarding Intent of Using Tax- <br />Exempt Financing; Resolution #2001-17 Accepting Bid, Showing <br />Receipt of Engineer's Statement of Estimated Cost, and Directing <br />Execution of Contract; and Resolution #2001-18 Directing <br />Assessments to be Levied. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #2001-19, MIDA Bond aDDlication for American Lutheran Homes <br />Attorney James Stewart was present to answer any questions concerning the application of <br />American Lutheran Homes, Inc. for MIDA Bond financing in the amount of $1.5 million. The <br />application states all of the bond proceeds will be used to finance the acquisition and renovation <br />of the Kinder Apartments, a 36-unit apartment building located at 101 South University Drive <br />in Fargo, into a congregate housing facility for the elderly. <br /> <br />~ <br />
