Commission Minutes--May 7, 2001 2283 Mr. Wieland reported that he was appointed by the North Dakota Department ofTransportation (NDDOT) Director to serve on the NDDOT Advisory Council to help develop a state-wide r-- transportation plan, and he will keep Commissioners informed of the committee's progress. Mr. Montplaisir said county departments will receive budget forms in June, and he offered to give a PowerPoint presentation to the two newest Commissioners, Mrs. Sorum and Mr. Wagner. 21. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOT/ON, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. letter from Philip a. Johnson, M.D., thanking Cass County for the help during river flooding this spring in the Forest River Second Addition, with a suggestion to install a dike along the eastern portion of the addition to prevent future flooding; memos from North Dakota Department ofTransportation requesting 2001 flood damage information and updated bridge inspection reports; letters from North Dakota Department of Transportation regarding bridges that need corrective action immediately; bridges that require load limit posting; bridges that require scour and channel profile inspection; and regarding special road funds for the 2002 construction season; r-- letter from Burgum & Irby regarding David Ratchenski, Section 13, Maple River Township; North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund invitation to attend annual meeting on May 10, 2001, at the Radisson Inn, Bismarck. 22.
