<br />Commission Minutes--February 20, 2001 2250 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Mr. Rowenhorst described his role in the process and said he will assist with transition team <br />training; monitor the transition process; review transition work products; draft policies and <br />procedures based on the team's input; finalize the staffing plan based on the team's input; and <br />will be involved with post occupancy evaluation and monitoring. He said his job is to keep <br />everything running smoothly. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to accept the Transition <br />Services Proposal as outlined by Jim Rowenhorst, and to amend the <br />jail transition team budget for consulting services from $61,800 to <br />$95,202. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said the consulting services will come from the jail construction contingency fund. <br />He said the consulting fees budget will be raised and the contingency fund will be lowered. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said the transition team will be located on the second floor of the Courthouse until <br />the spring, when their offices will be located in a trailer at the jail site. <br /> <br />11. VOUCHERS, ADDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve Voucher <br />No. 149,536 through No. 150,237. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />-- <br />. 12. MEETING UPDATES; TRANSITION TEAM MEETINGS; JOINT DISPATCH STEERING <br />COMMITTEE; COUNTY CITIZENS ACADEMY; FARGO SCHOOL ELECTION, Committee <br />reDorts <br />Commissioners reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, as well as <br />upcoming meetings. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said she will be in meetings and be working all week with the transition team. <br />She also discussed the joint dispatch steering committee, which she serves on and said some <br />members of the committee will be making a trip to Chicago to look at their joint dispatch center. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said he will be absent from the March 5th commission meeting. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sorum said she will begin attending a Cass County Citizens Academy tomorrow. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said the county will be handling the Fargo School District election to be held in <br />April. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />..--. <br /> <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation information on Interstate 94 <br />improvements from one mile west of Wheatland to Casselton; <br />
