<br />Commission Minutes-October 16,2000 2211 <br /> <br />The jail inmate fee policy was reviewed by Bonnie Johnson, and she recommends the work <br />release policy be updated to coincide with State law. She did not see the need for forming a <br />committee, as suggested at the last Commission meeting. The Board was in agreement to have <br />Chairman Meyer write a letter to Don Rudnick, Sheriff, and Walt Willis, Jail Administrator, to <br />update item #19 on the work release agreement with inmates, whereby the language regarding <br />their fees for work release privileges will be the same as State law. <br /> <br />Commissioners Wieland, Quick and Meyer, as well as other county staff, attended the annual <br />meeting of the North Dakota Association of Counties and County Commissioners Association <br />in Bismarck last week. Alon Wieland is the newly elected President of the North Dakota <br />Association of Counties, and Robbie Quick is second Vice President of that group. <br /> <br />While in Bismarck last week, Mr. Wieland reported that he attended a groundbreaking <br />ceremony for new offices of the North Dakota Association of Counties. Bids for the new building <br />were below cost estimates and deemed very favorable to begin construction. <br /> <br />17. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: North Dakota <br />Department of Transportation information on county digital GIS data <br />and information on bridge inventory on missile site routes. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />18.
