Commission Minutes--August 22, 2000 2183 <br /> <br />Register of Deeds <br />Mr. Wieland asked Deanna Kensrud about increasing her revenue projections for budget <br />purposes, however, she feels the projection is accurate and explained the formula she used to <br />arrive at the figure of $390,000 for next year. Her budget request includes the purchase of a new <br />copy machine because the current one is quite old, but she will continue using it as long as it <br />operates properly. <br /> <br />Referring to last year's backlog of returning recorded documents, Mrs. Kensrud said the office is <br />now considered current and she has not had any complaints about the recording time. <br /> <br />Red River Valley Fair <br />Bruce Olson, Manager, and James Thoreson, President of the Red River Valley Fair Association, <br />attended the budget meeting at this time. The county budgeted $80,000 a year for the past three <br />years, and the Fair Association is asking the county to consider an annual payment of $110,000 <br />for the next three years.
