LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, First American Real Estate <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file <br />Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for First American Real Estate, <br />and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue a <br />duplicate check. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. EXTENSION SERVICE, Family Nutrition Program and Parenting Resource Center grants <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Cass County <br />Commission support the Family Nutrition Program county proposal <br />for continuation of the program from October 1, 2000 through <br />September 30, 2001 pending proposal acceptance by state and <br />federal partners. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Parenting <br />Resource Center Program for July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001, be <br />implemented according to the grant guidelines; and that the Cass <br />County Extension Service work with the Auditor's Office to amend the <br />budget for the program. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />9. PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENT, Approved for Bordertown Bar & Grill <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve special event <br />permit for the Bordertown Bar & Grill, West Fargo, ND to dispense <br />alcoholic beverages for a wedding dance at Bonanzaville, West Fargo, <br />ND on June 24, 2000. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REQUEST, Include Valley Water Rescue in 2001 budget request <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the County Auditor <br />contact Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, Dilworth, Cass and Clay <br />Counties and ask that they include funding for Valley Water Rescue <br />in Fiscal 2001 based upon their percentage contribution to the Fargo- <br />Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments, the total funding <br />request being $40,000. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. JAIL CONSTRUCTION, Bids awarded to Meinecke-Johnson Company: Grant's <br />Mechanical. Inc.: Fritz Electric. Inc. <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator/Jail Project Coordinator, provided some background on <br />the jail project and said bids were opened last Tuesday, June 13, at 2:00 PM in the Commission <br />Room of the Cass County Courthouse. County staff met with the architect of Foss Associates <br />last Wednesday to review alternates that could be accepted and still keep the project within <br />budget. <br />
