<br />Commission Minutes--June 5, 2000 2133 <br /> <br />of the assessment is borne by the local assessment district, estimated at $200 per appraisal. <br />All of the local assessors are asked each year to meet the market value of the properties but <br />some have not made any adjustments year after year, or they have made modest increases but <br />have not kept up with the market. <br /> <br />Commissioners were in agreement that the situation should be addressed and asked Mr. Klein <br />to notify township officials from Dows, Page, Rochester and Ayr that the county is considering <br />ordering a reassessment of all residential lots and structures that are not exempt by State law. <br />They will be invited to attend the next County Board of Equalization meeting, which will <br />reconvene June 19, 2000, to address the matter of low assessments in their jurisdictions. <br /> <br />11. TAX EQUALIZATION BOARD, Recessed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr . Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to recess the County <br />Board of Equalization until June 19, 2000. Motion carried. <br /> <br />12. VOUCHERS, ADDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve Voucher <br />No. 140,467 through No. 140,932. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />13. MEETING UPDATES; PARK BOARD SUBCOMMITTEE, Committee reDorts <br />Commissioners reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, as well as <br />upcoming meetings. Mrs. Schneider said a subcommittee formed at the Park Board meeting <br />earlier today to review problems at Brewer Lake is meeting next Monday, June 12, at 1 :00 PM. <br /> <br />14. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments 2001-2002 work program; <br />information on county and city transportation needs assessment from North Dakota <br />Department of Transportation and North Dakota Association of Counties. <br /> <br />15.
