<br />Commission Minutes--June 5,2000 2128 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JUNE 5, 2000 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Paul Koenig and John Meyer. Robbie Quick was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order <br />of the agenda with the following changes: 1) to the consent agenda <br />under contract approval, add contracts with Houston Engineering, <br />Ulteig Engineers and revised contract with North Dakota State Water <br />Commission; 2) to the regular agenda, add request from State's <br />Attorney to accept settlement offer concerning First Bank vs. State <br />Tax Commissioner, et al. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AUDIT LETTER, Chairman to sign three-year audit letter with State Auditor's Office <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign the engagement letter presented by the North <br />Dakota State Auditor's Office for the years 2000, 2001 and 2002. On <br />roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. LEASE ON FLOOD LOT IN FOREST RIVER, Approved with Jason E. & Coreen L. Ruona <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign a lease on Lot 4, Forest River Subdivision, with <br />Jason E. and Coreen L. Ruona. The lot was acquired by Cass County <br />government as a result of flood buyouts. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. LOST INSTRUMENT BONDS, Received and filed for Cuna Mortgage: Arthur Township: <br />Jared Counts <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file <br />Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Cuna Mortgage, Arthur <br />Township and Jared Counts; and authorize the county treasurer and <br />the county auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />
