Commission Minutes--May 1,2000 2118 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 1,2000 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Robbie Quick, Alon Wieland, Paul Koenig and John Meyer. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Quick moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) adding contracts with North Dakota Department of Transportation Traffic Safety; Rustad's Gravel & Dirt Products and Valley Gravel Inc. to the consent agenda under contract approvals; 2) remove contracts for Centre Inc. and Share House in order to add liability language per State's Attorney Birch Burdick, who was represented at the meeting by Wade Webb, Assistant State's Attorney; 3) lifting spring weight restrictions on county roads, with three exceptions; and 4) adding to the regular agenda a request from the County Auditor to purchase election equipment. Motion carried. 4. PERMIT FOR FIREWORKS DISPLAY, Approved for Wild Rice Bar & Grill MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve a fireworks display permit for the Wild Rice Bar & Grill at their place of business, 205 Main, in Wild Rice, North Dakota, on the date of June 3- 4, 2000. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 5. PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENT, Playmaker's Sports Cafe & Bar MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve special event permit for Playmaker's Sports Cafe & Bar to dispense alcoholic beverages at Bonanzaville, U.S.A., West Fargo, North Dakota, on the date of May 19, 2000, for American Waterworks. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 6. ELECTION INSPECTORS, ADpointed for 2000 elections MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve 2000 election inspectors according to list provided by the County Auditor's Office. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
