ELECTION POLLING HOURS, Designated for 2000 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to set the polling <br />hours as 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at all polling places in Cass County for <br />the 2000 elections. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for North Dakota Association of Extension Agents <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve raffle <br />permit for North Dakota Association of Extension Agents to be held <br />April 4, 2000, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, West Fargo, North <br />Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Mike Vangsnes/Luigi's: North Dakota State Engineer: Fargo- <br />Cass County Economic Development Corporation <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the <br />following contracts submitted by respective department head and <br />portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and <br />authorize the chairperson to sign: On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mike Vangsnes/Luigi's-Courthouse lunch counter operation <br />North Dakota State Engineer--non-structural Flood Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation--contract for services <br /> <br />10. RESOLUTION #2000-4, Congratulations to Fargo Oak Grove High School Basketball Team <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to adopt Resolution <br />#2000-4 as follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Fargo Oak Grove High School basketball team finished in first place at the <br />North Dakota State Class B Basketball Tournament held in Fargo over the past weekend. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners of Cass County, North <br />Dakota, does hereby congratulate the Oak Grove Grovers basketball team in its first place finish <br />at the State Tournament. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed upon the permanent records <br />of the proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners and a copy forwarded to the players <br />and staff at Oak Grove High School. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 20th day of March, 2000. <br /> <br />11. JAIL UPDATE, Architect provides building sketch <br />Rick Hoganson, of Foss Associates, briefly updated commissioners on the design of the <br />proposed new Cass County jail. He provided an architectural rendering of the building, which <br />is estimated to cost $17.9 million. <br />
