<br />11. JAIL TRANSITION PLAN, Update by Transition Coordinator
<br />Walt Willis, Jail Transition Coordinator, gave an update on two items included in the Cass
<br />County Transition Action Plan, which was adopted by the County Commission on January 3,
<br />2000. He first discussed modifying the management information system. A new software
<br />program, being written by County Information Services staff, was implemented at the end of last
<br />year, and Mr. Willis said there have been some problems, as with any new program. However,
<br />he said they are trying to focus on the current program rather than looking at new programs
<br />because software used in the jail must be compatible with other programs within the county.
<br />
<br />Concerning job descriptions for the jail transition team members, Mr. Willis submitted written
<br />PAQ's (Position Analysis Questionnaires) for himself, Carlos Perez, Michele Boucher, Linda
<br />Skogen, and Kelly Perez. Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator/Jail Project Coordinator, said
<br />these PAQ's are the documents needed in order for the transition team to begin their duties.
<br />The PAQ's will be on file in the County Personnel Office. According to the Transition Action
<br />
