<br />Commission Minutes--January 18, 2000 2087 <br /> <br />14. VOUCHERS, Aporoved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve Voucher <br />No. 135,984 through No. 136,514. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />15. STATE'S ATTORNEY CONFERENCE; MEETING UPDATES; PERSONNEL SEMINAR; JAIL <br />DESIGN; COURT SOFTWARE UPDATE; METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS; <br />BUFFALO SCHOOL BUILDING, Committee reoorts <br />Birch Burdick, State's Attorney, reported that three people from his office will be attending the <br />North Dakota State's Attorneys' Association winter conference in Mandan this week. <br /> <br />Commissioners reported on activities and meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, <br />as well as upcoming meetings. Commissioners Wieland, Quick and Meyer plan to attend the <br />North Dakota County Commissioners Association "Issues Challenge" on February 3,2000, from <br />9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Doublewood Inn, Bismarck. Mr. Koenig may also attend. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said a "Peak Performance" seminar held last week was <br />well-attended by county employees. Concerning design development of the new county jail, she <br />said meetings are being held on ceiling materials and kitchen design. The project is on <br />schedule for bidding next month. Mrs. Johnson also updated the Commissioners on a recent <br />meeting with the courts to review the connection between PCSS and UCIS. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said he will serve as the Metropolitan Council of Governments chairman this year. <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick and Mr. Wieland met with representatives of the City of Buffalo and the Buffalo <br />School Board concerning the poor condition of the former school building in Buffalo. <br /> <br />16. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />notice from North Dakota Department of Transportation of the award of $100,000 of <br />Transportation Enhancement Funds for the Cass County Highway 17 bikeway project; <br />North Dakota Department of Health public notice of opportunity to comment on draft <br />permit for the City of Casselton inert waste landfill. <br /> <br />17.
