Item No. 1 Item No. 2 Item No. 3 Item No. 4 Item No. 5 Street Improvement District #2004.1 Street Improvement in Greyhawk Estates Subdivision Cass County, North Dakota Measurement & Payment EXCAVATION & EMBANKMENT The unit price bid shall be considered full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to excavate and place one (1) cubic yard of earth as called for in and in accordance with the plans and specifications. This work shall include, but not be limited to, stripping topsoil (6"), excavating, placing embankment, placing topsoil (4"), site grading, and placing excess material and/or providing borrow. Final payment shall be based on plan quantity unless the engineer changes the profiles. SUBGRADE EXCAVATION 1 The unit price bid shall be considered full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to excavate one (1) cubic yard of unsuitable material and place one (1) cubic yard of compacted Class 5 aggregate as called for in and in accordance with the plans and specifications. This work shall include, but not be limited to, excavating and disposing of unsuitable material, compacting Class 5 aggregate, grading, and placing excess material on the site as directed by the engineer. Class 5 shall be paid for separately. Final payment shall be based on plan quantity. Item shall only apply to widening of base and sub-base on all streets except 64th Avenue South. SUBGRADE EXCAVATION 2 The unit price bid shall be considered full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to excavate one (1) cubic yard of unsuitable material and place one (1) cubic yard of compacted suitable material as called for in and in accordance with the plans and specifications. This work shall include, but not be limited to, excavating and disposing of unsuitable material, furnishing and placing suitable material, compacting material, grading, and placing excess material on the site as directed by the engineer. Final payment shall be based on in place field dimensions. SUBGRADE PREPARATION The unit price bid shall be considered full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to prepare one (1) square yard of sub grade preparation as called for in and in accordance with the plans and specifications. This work shall include, but not be limited to, scarifying the top (1) foot of soil, compacting the soil, and grading the soil to the proposed grade. Final payment shall be based on section dimensions set forth in the plans and field measurements of actual length of new roadway. Item shall only apply to 64th Avenue South. ASPHALT WEAR COURSE 2" The unit price bid shall be considered full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to place one (1) square yard of two inch thick wear course as called for in and in accordance with the plans and specifications. This work shall include, but not be limited to, controlling traffic, keeping receiving surface clean during construction, submitting job mix, submitting material samples, furnishing bituminous mixture in the quantity and quality required, and placing and compacting the bituminous mixture. Final payment shall be based on section dimensions set forth in the plans and field measurements of actual length of new roadway. No separate payment shall be made for oil in the mixture. Payment will be adjusted per Section 01800 part 2.30 for thickness not meeting specifications. 1
