The School Board would be in favor of having the north
and south truck routes paved and to continue using them as truck routes.

We understand that the county is considering having the truck routes moved to Main Street (Elm
Street). The School Board does not support this option since it would increase the amount of
traffic that is already passing by the school on Highway 15. If the north and south routes were
closed the traffic would be diverted through the school zone. We have worked, in the past, with
the city and county on ways to help keep students as safe as possible and we want to continue to
do so. This option would increase current traffic flow and ultimately increase our concern for
student safety.

If we can be of any other assistance to you please contact us at 428-3177.

"Home of the Vikings"
