<br />Hunting Subcommittee Minutes--February 1, 2005 3 <br /> <br />Ron Glaser <br />Mr. Glaser lives in Orchard Glen. He moved to the area to enjoy the wildlife and said if <br />any animals are a problem, it would be rabbits and squirrels, not deer. He feels the land <br />could be used for other activities rather than hunting. <br /> <br />Jason Grenier <br />Mr. Grenier lives in West Fargo. He is a bow hunter and hunts mainly in Minnesota along <br />the river. He cares about the habitat and feels that hunters and other citizens could <br />share the land. <br /> <br />Odin HelQerson <br />Mr. Helgerson is on the board of the Sandhills Archery Club. <br />precedent will be set when a decision is made by the committee. <br />request would be considered on a case by case basis. <br /> <br />He asked whether a <br />Mr. Wagner said each <br /> <br />Jeff and Anne Zarlinq <br />Mr. and Mrs. Zarling live in Orchard Glen. Mr. Zarling said safety is his biggest concern. <br />Mrs. Zarling said the current road system is already deteriorating and increased traffic <br />would make it worse. <br /> <br />Perry Ronninq <br />Mr. Ronning serves on the Stanley Township Board. He feels the land could be well <br />served with special events, such as archery tournaments. He said the township meets <br />next Tuesday and he will ask for a recommendation to forward to the committee. Mr. <br />Peterson said that since the township land is contiguous to the county's land, it would be <br />difficult to enforce hunting if the township will not allow it. <br /> <br />7. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION, Additional meeting to be scheduled <br />Mr. Wagner suggested one more committee meeting be held so members have time to <br />consider the comments and information presented tonight. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Miller moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to schedule another <br />subcommittee meeting to consider public comments and information <br />provided tonight; and to consider comments from the Stanley <br />Township Board before a recommendation is made and forwarded to <br />the County Commission. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8.
