We have about 50 computers systems that will be replaced in 2005 and
about 70 CRT monitors for either donation or sale. Approximately twelve of these
computer systems will be used to setup a training room in the Annex.

The County Auditor has also offered sale of some older computer systems to
other counties for use as standalone election tabulating machines as required by North
Dakota Secretary of State's office. Details of this project have not been finalized with the
State.

The remaining computer systems and excess CRT monitors would be available
for donation to local non-profit agencies. The following agencies have requested
monitors and computer systems as donation:
Hospice
Olivet Lutheran Church
Computers for Seniors
Detroit Lakes Public Schools

Stark County has also made a request for our excess monitors which we would be
selling to the county through NDACo.

SUGGESTED MOTION:
Move to authorize the Information Technology Department to donate and sell used
computer equipment to agencies as requested.

~~

Terry Schmaltz
Cass County IT Manager
