Commission Minutes--December 20, 2004 2835 8. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order approved for carpet replacement MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order with Fargo Linoleum Company for carpet replacement at the Highway Department, in the amount of $18,256.25. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 9. BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS, Approved for Veterans Service, 911 Fund and County Park MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to authorize adjustments to the 2004 budget in the Veterans Service Fund, 911 Fund and County Park Fund, according to a letter from County Auditor Michael Montplaisir dated December 7,2004. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 10. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Utility relocation aareements for 64th Avenue South proiect MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to authorize the chairman to sign three utility relocation and adjustment agreements with Cass Rural Water District, Cass County Electric Cooperative and Qwest for the 64th Avenue bridge replacement project. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 11. AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Monthly financial statement received MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to receive a monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended November 30, 2004. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 12. ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH CENTER, Letter of support for arant MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to authorize the chairman to sign a letter of support for the Energy and Environmental Research Center's Regional Storm Water Education and Outreach Program initiatives. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 13. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Public defender contracts; Farao Cass County Economic Development Corporation; North American Communications Resource, Inc. MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the following contracts submitted by respective department head, subject to state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Steven Mottinger, Douglas Nesheim, Joanne Ottmar-public defenders; Fargo Cass County Economic Development Corporation-contract for services; North American Communications Resource, Inc.-two contracts from the Information Technology Department for upgrading hardware and software for the county telephone system.
