<br />Road Advisory Minutes--December 20, 2004 2 <br /> <br />Dan Rice from Trans-Systems was present. He said the main concerns involve safety, <br />environment, county road systems, and economics. If the double trailer loads are <br />allowed, there will be 600 fewer trips on county roads and 10,000 gallons less fuel, with <br />a portion of which that will not go into the atmosphere. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the request <br />from Trans-Systems to haul double trailer loads as a one time permit <br />on certain county roads to expire in the spring of 2005 and to review <br />the county policy on weight limits. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. OTHER BUSINESS, County Road 16 <br />Darrell Schroeder was present and asked the committee to consider paving the eight <br />miles of gravel road on County Road 16 to Davenport. Mr. Pawluk asked about the <br />condition of the gravel road. Mr. Schroeder said the current gravel road is well- <br />maintained, especially within the last year. <br /> <br />5.
