<br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Be it resolved that the Cass County Commission requests the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers to conduct studies to determine the feasibility of developing emergency stream <br />bank or shoreline protection projects under the authority provided by Section 14 of the <br />1946 Flood Control Act, as amended. <br /> <br />The requested project locations are <br /> <br />1. Cass County Highway 31 in section 13 of Reed Township near the City of North <br />River adjacent to the Red River <br /> <br />2. Cass County Highway 31 in sections 1 and 2 of Wiser Township adjacent to the Red <br />River. <br /> <br />3. Cass County Highway 17 in section 29 of Barnes Township adjacent to the Sheyenne <br />River <br /> <br />4. Cass County Highway 17 in section 5 of Stanley Township adjacent to the Sheyenne <br />River. <br /> <br />The County Commission acknowledges that it is aware of the Section 14 local <br />responsibilities and that the City has the ability to proceed within 12 months if it is found <br />feasible and advisable to develop stream bank or shoreline protection projects at the <br />above listed locations. The County Commission further acknowledges that it would be <br />required, before construction commences, to enter into a contractual agreement to <br />provide such local cooperation as may be prescribed by the Secretary ofthe Army. <br /> <br />The County Engineer shall be, and is hereby, directed to transmit three copies of this <br />resolution to the District Engineer, St. Paul District, u.S.
