<br />Commission Minutes--October 1, 2004 <br /> <br />2801 <br /> <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to add Lot 4 Block 2, <br />Harwood Park Addition to City of Harwood, as omitted property for 2004 <br />in the amount of $12,000 prorated six-month residential assessment, <br />according to notice sent from the county auditor to Eric & Jennifer <br />Rinerson, Harwood, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the following <br />contract submitted by respective department head, subject to state's <br />attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: Blue Cross Blue <br />Shield of North Dakota 2005 employee health insurance coverage. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />FAIR DELEGATES, State Fair annual meetinÇl <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to appoint John Meyer to <br />represent the Cass County Commission; Bruce Olson to represent the <br />Red River Valley Fair Association; and Tim Clark to represent the Cass <br />County Extension Service, to attend the 2004 State Fair Association <br />annual meeting scheduled for 1 :00 PM on November 18, 2004 at the <br />Bismarck Ramkota Inn. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENT, Approved for The Barnstormer at Bonanzaville <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve a special event <br />permit for The Barnstormer Restaurant of Fargo to serve alcoholic <br />beverages at a dance for Beginning Experience at Bonanzaville on the <br />date of October 2, 2004 beginning at 7:30 PM. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />BUDGET FOR 2005, Final budÇlet adopted <br />Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, provided a budget and levy summary for 2005 and said <br />all of the changes commissioners made, after numerous budget meetings, are included in <br />the budget/levy summary dated September 23,2004. Today is the last day for adopting the <br />final budget, according to the North Dakota Century Code. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the 2005 Cass <br />County budget in the amount of $50,254,187 and to levy taxes in <br />accordance with the county's home rule charter; levying a maximum of <br />65.00 mills for direct county operations and a maximum of 9.35 mills for <br />other county agencies (weed, vector, county park and water resource <br />districts). On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
