Commission Minutes—October 6, 2014 4376 <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to authorize the county <br /> to offer at public sale a used generator from the Annex building with <br /> proceeds to go back into the General Fund. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 12. FLOOD DIVERSION, Fiscal year 2015 budget approved <br /> Mr. Vanyo said annually the budget is considered by the FM Diversion Board of Authority, <br /> and then is forwarded to the member entities for consideration. The diversion board <br /> approved the budget for fiscal year (FY) 2015 last month. He said land acquisition and <br /> construction of the Oxbow-Hickson-Bakke levee are the predominate expenses. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve the proposed <br /> Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 Flood Diversion budget in the amount of <br /> $210,800,000. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> 13. FLOOD DIVERSION MONTHLY BILLING, Approved <br /> Mr. Montplaisir discussed the billing from the FM Diversion Board of Authority for the month <br /> of September 2014, for engineering costs, project management services, and construction <br /> work on the OHB ring levee. The request today is to advance funds for the entire local <br /> share from the $20 million in loan proceeds. Cass County and Fargo City are equally <br /> responsible to pay back the loan. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded to approve the expenses <br /> for the Flood Diversion Board of Authority and advance funds from the <br /> loan in the amount of $4,050,030.78 for the month of September, 2014. <br /> On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> 14. FLOOD CONTROL, State Water Commission payments to FM Diversion approved <br /> During the last three legislative sessions, the state legislature approved a total of $175 <br /> million to be spent on flood control costs. This is the fifth request from the FM Diversion <br /> Authority for reimbursement from the State Water Commission. The claim is for <br /> construction-related costs associated with the Oxbow-Hickson-Bakke (OHB) ring levee in <br /> the amount of$1,799,198. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to authorize the chairman <br /> to sign the approval letter for the State Water Commission to distribute <br /> funds in the amount of $1,799,198 to the FM Diversion Authority pursuant <br /> to terms and conditions of Senate Bill 2020. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 15. FLOOD CONTROL, State Water Commission payment to City of Fargo approved <br /> During the last three legislative sessions, the state legislature approved a total of $175 <br /> million to be spent on flood control costs. This is the 31st request from the City of Fargo. <br /> Mr. Montplaisir said the reimbursement claim in the amount of $944,985 is the local match <br /> on costs for dike and levee work in Woodcrest, Hackberry and River Drive South <br /> neighborhoods in Fargo. <br />
