Commission Minutes—September 2, 2014 4368 <br /> 13. VOUCHERS, Approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Peterson seconded to approve Voucher No. <br /> 280,497 through Voucher No. 280,710. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 14. FLOOD DIVERSION MEETINGS; PLEASANT TOWNSHIP SURVEY; RED RIVER BASIN <br /> COMMISSION; TAXPAYER BUDGET HEARING NOTICE, Committee reports <br /> Mr. Berndt and Mr. Vanyo will attend meetings tonight and tomorrow in Breckenridge and <br /> Moorhead when Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton meets with local leaders to discuss the <br /> FM Diversion project. <br /> Mr. Vanyo said Pleasant Township sent a survey to all townships regarding communication <br /> between townships and Cass County Commissioners. The survey states that information <br /> shared will be confidential. Mr. Vanyo asked whether the survey information falls under <br /> open record requirements. State's Attorney Birch Burdick contacted Maryjane Nipstad, <br /> Pleasant Township Clerk, regarding this issue to clarify that the information collected is not <br /> confidential if it is requested by someone as part of an open record request. <br /> Mrs. Scherling will attend the Red River Basin Commission meeting on Thursday, <br /> September 4th, at which Mr. Vanyo will provide a presentation on the diversion project. <br /> Mr. Montplaisir received a phone call from a resident regarding the county budget hearing <br /> notice sent to taxpayers last week. The resident also received a notice from the city and <br /> school district, which created some confusion. He will attend an interim legislative <br /> committee meeting next Monday, September 8th with Senator Dwight Cook to discuss <br /> different options for taxpayer notices as well as tax bills for the 2015 legislative session. <br /> 15. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Peterson moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> - Letter from the State Water Commission regarding a second round of meetings in <br /> September to discuss the final cost-share policy and project prioritization guidance <br /> concept and summary of 2015-2017 water project inventory efforts. <br /> 16.
