Commission Minutes—September 2, 2014 4362 <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 2, 2014 (TUESDAY) <br /> 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Ken Pawluk called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br /> follows: Chad M. Peterson, Darrell Vanyo, Mary Scherling, Vern Bennett, and Ken Pawluk. <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Heather Worden led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 3. MINUTES APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Peterson seconded that the minutes of the <br /> budget meetings held August 11 and 12, 2014, and minutes of the last <br /> regular meeting held August 18, 2014, be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 4. AGENDA, Order approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Peterson moved and Mrs. Scherling seconded to approve the order of <br /> the agenda with the addition of the sale of a van at public auction to the <br /> consent agenda; and a State Water Commission reimbursement request <br /> for the Flood Diversion Authority for August and monthly Flood <br /> Diversion billing to the regular agenda. Motion carried. <br /> 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent <br /> agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> a. Approve special event permits for B & G Beverages II, Inc. d/b/a the Town Hall Bar to <br /> serve alcoholic beverages on Friday, November 28, 2014, during the hours of 4:00 <br /> PM to 2:00 AM Saturday, November 29, 2014, for a wedding reception at <br /> Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in West Fargo, North Dakota; for Rick's Bar to serve alcoholic <br /> beverages during the hours of 11:00 AM Thursday, September 25, 2014, to 12:00 AM <br /> Friday, September 26, 2014, for a sales meeting and training event to be held at <br /> Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in West Fargo, North Dakota; and for the West Fargo Speedway <br /> Steakhouse & Event Center to serve alcoholic beverages on September 30, 2014, <br /> during the hours of 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for a North Dakota Attorney General meeting <br /> to be held in Dawson Hall at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in West Fargo, North Dakota. <br /> b. Receive and file Indemnity Bond on Lost Instruments for Loraine Fleeman and <br /> Sherwin-Williams Realty Holdings Inc.; and authorize the county auditor and county <br /> treasurer to issue duplicate checks. <br /> c. Authorize the chairman to sign the Eligibility Application for the Office of Management <br /> and Budget State Surplus Property Program for the Sheriff's Office. <br /> d. Authorize the county to offer one (1) 2011 Chevy Impala and one (1) 1998 <br /> Freightliner Cube Van "bomb truck" for sale at public auction with the proceeds to go <br /> into the General Fund. <br />
