<br />Commission Minutes--September 7,2004 <br /> <br />2783 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS: PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />SEPTEMBER 7, 2004 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairwoman Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Vern Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the last <br />regular meeting held August 16, the minutes of the budget meeting held <br />August 19 and minutes of the special meeting held August 23, 2004, be <br />approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of a grant for Homeland Security funds. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed for Helen Sapa <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file Indemnity <br />Bond for Lost Instrument for Helen Sapa; and authorize the county <br />treasurer and the county auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, BudÇlet adjustments approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a budget <br />adjustment of $4,690 to revenue account 101-3701-331.55-03 and to <br />expenditure account 101-3701-427.10-25 to facilitate completion of the <br />State-Wide Hazard Mitigation Project. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a budget <br />adjustment of $1,500,000 to revenue account 101-3701-331.55-03 and to <br />expenditure account 101-3701-427.74-12 for a radio project and for first <br />responder training. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a budget <br />adjustment of $25,370 to revenue account 101-3701-331.55-03 and to <br />expenditure account 101-3701-427.57-04 for the upcoming 2004 Homeland <br />Security Exercise. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
