Commission Minutes—August 18, 2014 4361 <br /> and West Fargo. Mr. Montplaisir said the fees help with equipment and personnel costs for <br /> the Red River Regional Dispatch Center. Mr. Montplaisir said in order to implement a <br /> county-wide fee the issue would need to be placed on an upcoming ballot for a vote. The <br /> deadline to submit ballot questions for the November General Election is Monday, <br /> September 2nd at 4:00 PM. Mr. Montplaisir will discuss the option with Fargo and West <br /> Fargo officials, and if a decision is made to move forward on the issue, the item will be <br /> scheduled for consideration at the September 2nd commission meeting. <br /> Mr. Berndt contacted Consultant Dennis Kimme to discuss the next step in the space <br /> analysis and feasibility study considering the recent agreement made with the Clay County <br /> Juvenile Detention Center to lease space. Mr. Berndt said the study may be re-worked to <br /> consider the space needs of other county departments. <br /> Mr. Berndt and Mr. Vanyo will attend meetings in St. Paul this week with the Corps of <br /> Engineers and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources regarding the diversion project. <br /> Mrs. Scherling attended the Diversion Project Assessment Committee (DPAC) meeting last <br /> week and said one of the topics discussed was special assessments on tax-exempt <br /> properties. <br /> 10.
